Savoy Cabbage

Crinkly leaved, less tightly packed than a regular cabbage & with a milder, sweeter flavour. One of the most cold/frost resistant cabbages. Tender even when raw, perfect for colslaw as well as cooked.

65-70 days to harvest. Store in a cool dry place. Prefers rich well-drained soil.

Best planted in December, January, February, & March. Direct or in trays.

Sow in trays 5mm, 2 seeds per cell. Transplant 5-6 weeks old seedlings in a fertile garden bed, 40cm apart, allowing 60-70cm between rows. Spray with dipel to reduce caterpillar damage if required.

Sow when is based on cooler climates. If you are growing in a warm climate you may need to check your local sow when guides.
