SILVERBEET: RAINBOW CHARD – BRIGHT LIGHTS

(BETA VULGARIS)

The stems of this silverbeet are brightly coloured with oranges, yellows, peaches, and reds.

Sweet and tender.

It doesn’t travel well which is why you will rarely see it in supermarkets.

Great in soups, salads, casseroles, and pies.

GROWING TIPS

Direct sow or seedling tray 10mm-20mm deep and keep moist.

Plant or thin to 20-40cm apart.

To harvest; cut each stem. The plant will continue to produce over a long period.

Cold, but not frost hardy.
