Tender green outer leaves, pale sweet heart. Good disease tolerance. Moderate bolt resistant.

50-80 days to harvest. Store in a cool dry place. Prefers well-drained soil. Good humus level. Add compost.

Best planted in September, October, November, December, January, February, March, & April

Direct sow preferable, 5mm deep (light dependant germination) Spacing 25cm apart. Keep well watered. Drying out leads to early bolting. Sow every 2 weeks for a continuous harvest.

Sow when is based on cooler climates. If you are growing in a warm climate you may need to check your local sow when guides.
