80 to 100 days to harvest. Prefers rich well-drained friable soil.

Best planted in early spring, indoors. Plant after risk of frost.

Sow in pots. 10-14 days to germination, 6mm deep, transplant 45cm apart. Keep moist to avoid bitterness.
