Beans Scarlet Runner

Also known as 7 year bean. A perennial that will die in winter and grow back in spring. A prolific producer of long green flat beans.

70 to 90 days to harvest. Store in a cool dry place. Prefers rich well-drained soil.

Best planted in November, December, & January, after risk of frost.

Direct sow 2-35m deep, water once after sowing & not again till they germinate. Space 10-20cm apart. Provide a support system for these vigorous climbers.

Sow when is based on cooler climates. If you are growing in a warm climate you may need to check your local sow when guides.
