Long red spires of seed head, packed with highly nutritious black seed. Has similar uses to chia seed, add to salads, bread. Young leaves can be used in salads. A beautiful & edible addition to the garden.

100-120 days for seed harvest. Store in a cool dry place. A fine tilth required for good seed germination.

Best planted in September, October, & November.

Direct sow preferable, 5mm deep, spacing 15cm apart. Drought tolerant. Requires early weed maintenance to grow well as it can be slow to start & be out-competed.

Sow when is based on cooler climates. If you are growing in a warm climate you may need to check your local sow when guides.
